Rocks and Trees and Rough Terrain in Rattlesnake Point

A good one-day hike! A well-frequented conservation area in the Greater Toronto Area for hikers and rock climbers. A hike in RP usually starts with an easy walk into the green forest, slowly becoming moderately difficult as you slowly negotiate your way over tree roots scattered along the trail, as well as around small rocks that become bigger as you approach the area near the escarpment edge. A good hiking mid-shoes or boots are recommended to protect your ankles, especially for beginner hikers. Bring along drinking water and trail mix bars for refueling along the way. Have a camera as well, as you will be surprised with what you might come across. When I hiked RP, I came across a group of young adults who were doing drone flight testing. I also saw a 10 year-old boy who was scaling one of the rock cliffs; of course, with the supervision of an instructor. That made me ask myself - if this boy could do it, I should be able to do it too! We'll see about that. The Trafalgar Lookout is a nice place to stop at and take a break - with a nice bench and a view of the Milton area.
