Young Octopus' Tentacles Simmered in Front of You
Driving around with my wife Lucy in Mississauga two weekends ago, we found ourselves starving in the middle of a sunny Saturday afternoon. We agreed on having Chinese food and proceeded to have a late lunch at one of the Chinese restaurants in the Burnhamthorpe West - Central Parkway West area.
When we arrived at the place, we found out that it was full at that time so we drove around some more until we saw a Korean restaurant called Nuri Village (in the same strip mall).
We walked in and got seated in less then a minute. They serve different seafoods dishes and of course, authentic Korean foods. We ordered a seafoods bowl and fried dumplings, which were served promptly. It was our first time in this restaurant, so we were surprised when they placed a small stove on our table to simmer the seafoods bowl. Included in the lunch were other veggies and appetisers (seaweeds salad, kimchi, etc.), which I did not have the chance to ask about (the names, that is) due to extreme hunger - we just dove in.
Cutting this short, we enjoyed the seafoods bowl and everything else. The pictures will tell you some more... The last picture shows my share of the seafoods bowl – I ate most of the young octopus' tentacles, as Lucy does not like eating that part much.
Customer service in this Korean resto is excellent, and the price is reasonable. We highly recommend this place.
